Announcements

August 29, 2008: Remaining ISBE 2008 T-shirts and conference bags are now on sale, supplies are limited so get yours while they last.

August 16, 2008: Here is the playlist for the bluegrass tunes played between talks. If anyone took some good photos in Barton Hall of the poster/exhibitor area, lunches, banquet, etc, the organizers would very much appreciate receiving them via email to the address or directly to S. L. Vehrencamp or J. W. Bradbury.

August 6, 2008: Ithaca weather forecast for Aug. 8-15: Comfortable temperatures in the 70’s (°F), but expect some rain.

August 4, 2008: Programs and abstracts for some of the post-congress symposia can now be downloaded.

July 22, 2008: Two new evening discussions added, see Schedule Overview. On Monday, Roundtable on levels of selection revisited, led by A. Zahavi. On Wednesday, open discussion on funding opportunities and new directions at NSF, led by S. O'Donnell.

July 8, 2008: Poster assignments have been posted. Shortline Coach company is offering ISBE participants traveling from New York City to Cornell a special round trip price and advance online ticket purchasing.

June 16, 2008: Final program for talks has been posted.

May 20, 2008: Electronic bulletin boards are active!

May 18, 2008: Due to a huge number of travel grant applications, award announcements will be delayed until Friday May 23.

May 12, 2008: Attending exhibitors added to Exhibitors page, travel visa information updated.

April 10, 2008: Post-congress symposia topics have been selected, see descriptions and invitation to participate on the symposium webpage. Registration fees for late sign-up have been reduced.

March 25, 2008: The registration, abstract submission, and travel grant deadlines have been extended to April 15, 2008. You may proceed with registration even if you have not yet become an ISBE member. A membership code is not required to register, but a registration code, received only after payment has been made, is required to submit an abstract.

March 20, 2008: A pre-conference workshop on Integrative Biology of Scatter Hoarding will be held 8-9 August 2008, Cornell University. Everybody is welcome.

February 18, 2008: Update to child care options.

February 1, 2008: Registration, abstract submission, and travel grant forms are available. Instructions for abstract submission and travel grant applications are sent along with your registration confirmation notice.

December 4, 2007: Updated policy and fees for accompanying persons.

November 28, 2007: Updated information on ground transportation into Ithaca, housing and meal plans, and information on abstract submission and reviewing.

November 6, 2007: Updated estimates of registration fees, housing details, and poster dimensions. We've greatly expanded the section on excursions and other local sites of interest. Please also note that you can now easily apply for or renew your society membership online with a credit card through the Society's website.

September 15, 2007: Preliminary information about the ISBE 2008 congress is now available! Please read the General Information section, which highlights important points you may need to consider as part of your advance planning. As we update these pages, an announcement of the new information will be posted here.
