Most citizens from the following Visa Waiver countries do not need a visa for a temporary stay, only a valid passport: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom. Visitors from these countries should bring a copy of the letter of abstract acceptance or registration acknowledgement, in case you are asked about the purpose of your visit when going through US immigration at the port of entry.
Visitors from most other countries WILL need to obtain a visa from a United States consulate. We will mail letters of abstract acceptance or registration acknowledgement to all registered delegates before the end of May 2008, which should enable you to obtain the visa in time. For more information, contact your closest consulate and see the US State Department website for temporary visas: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/temp_1305.html
